The Tanzania Drug Prevention Network (TDPN) welcomes individuals, organizations, and institutions committed to supporting its mission of promoting a drug-free society. Membership is voluntary and open to all who align with TDPN’s vision and objectives.
Membership Categories
- Founder Members: Initiators of TDPN’s establishment.
- Ordinary Members: Individuals or organizations joining after TDPN's formation.
- Honorary Members: Recognized for significant contributions to the community and TDPN's objectives (non-voting).
- Affiliated Members: Partnering organizations supporting TDPN's goals.
- Individual Members: Individuals supporting TDPN’s mission on a personal level (non-voting).
Membership Rights and Obligations
- Voting Rights: Granted to Founder, Ordinary, and Affiliated Members.
- Meeting Participation: All members can attend and express opinions in meetings.
- Membership Fees: Applicable to all categories except Honorary Members:
- Joining Fee: Tshs 100,000/= (One Hundred Thousand Tanzanian Shillings only)
- Annual Fee: Tshs 50,000/= (Fifty Thousand Tanzanian Shillings only)
- Active Participation: Members are expected to engage in TDPN activities and adhere to its rules and regulations.
Application Process
To become a member, follow these steps:
- Write an application letter explaining your interest in joining TDPN.
- Email your application to info@tdpn.or.tz.
- Your application will be reviewed by the Membership Committee, which ensures alignment with TDPN’s vision and objectives.
- Upon approval, you will receive a confirmation email with further instructions.
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee oversees the application process and ensures members’ compliance with TDPN’s policies. It comprises five members appointed by the Board of Directors, representing various membership categories.
Membership Termination
Membership may be terminated under the following circumstances:
- Voluntary resignation in writing.
- Failure to comply with TDPN’s rules or pay fees for two consecutive years.
- Absence from three consecutive General Meetings without valid reasons.
- Misconduct or actions contrary to TDPN’s objectives.
